Sam Childers, also known as the “Machine Gun Preacher” is an incredibly amazing man. I had the honor of speaking with him in 2009, when his book, Another Man’s War, released. He is an ex-drug dealer turned preacher. When he went on a missionary trip to Sudan, he saw that many orphaned children that were often left for dead. He goes through war-torn regions to rescue these children and put them in an orphanage. He created Angels of East Africa for this purpose. A movie based on his life was a hit at the Toronto Film Festival. “Machine Gun Preacher” starring Gerard Butler is now playing at selected theatres.

I covered Comic Con New York 2010 for Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment. Stan’s company was contracted by Grammy-award winning artist Ne-Yo to make a comic book to accompany his album “LibraScale”. I had the exclusive before the album dropped. Check out the making of “LibraScale” the comic.

Here is my restaurant review of Sully’s Tavern in Torrance. I really enjoyed this shoot since I ate, drank, and shook up cocktails behind the bar. It as a great time!I would love to do more restaurant reviews in the future!

This is business review of Groove Works studio in Torrance. I had fun shooting this as well since I learned about the music editing process and got to shake maracas and pretend I knew how to play a guitar. ROCK ON!

I dropped in on this “Junior Naturalist” program at the Madrona Marsh. It is a low-cost and very cool program for children. I had fun splashing through the mud with the kiddums. It has to scrape off several layers of dirt off my nice heels, but it was worth it.

I always flirt with the idea of going seriously green. I pitched this story and am happy that I covered it. I hope I helped some people go green by getting solar panels at a discounted price!
