Day to Night Makeup Tutorial- Natural to Smoky Eyes in Less than 5!

7 Oct 2011 by Chenine, 2 Comments »

I often have days when I pack 3 sets of clothes- my workout clothes, my casual clothes, and my night attire.  I know I am not alone.  Some of us have a time in our life when we have school during the day, and a date or job at night…. or work during the day, and go out for drinks at night. During this whole hustle and bustle, many of us over pack for the demanding day OR are under prepared. During my years of being a full time student while going to work full time, I learned it is best to bring only what I need and to wear clothes and make-up that layer well. This ensures items are not lost or damaged.  This webisode focuses on how to make a quick transition from day to night with your makeup!

I know how to apply and use various styles of makeup. However, I am limited to knowing the brands that I purchase. I felt that I needed to bring in a beauty expert to share her product knowledge. I am so happy to introduce “Diva Lifestyle’s” beauty expert, Erica Diaz.  She is on her eleventh year in the beauty industry. She works with every make-up line. Currently, Erica is a beauty advisor and trainer at Sephora. I know that she can teach us how to be most effective with our make-up application and product choices. You can look forward to future webisodes with Erica regarding all things beauty!

The products used in this tutorial were selected by Erica. She specifically chose products that work best during a long day. Here is the list and links to products used in this tutorial:

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Brightens eyes and lids. Great for all day wear. Makeup doesn’t budge or end up in crease.

Urban Decay Lash Lush

Special bristles are great for lifting and for lower lashes. Defines yet light enough to blend your false eyelashes with your natural lashes.

Anastasia Brow Powder

Too Faced Matte Eye Palette

This palette offers so many looks in one. Comes with 9 shadows. Three  how-to cards are stashed under the flap.

The cards show you how to obtain different looks with the colors in the palette. Too Faced offers many color

palettes in this collection! Look for Romantic Eye, Smokey Eye, Natural Eye, and Naked Eye. I think I’m in love with these!
