Chenine Lozano’s passion to improve lives around her fueled her ambition to become a broadcast journalist and host. Her on-camera presence and ability to create captivating segments led her to a variety of opportunities, from hard news reporting to hosting at red carpet events. Whether it’s Academy Award-winning Cuba Gooding Jr., Grammy Award-winning Ne-Yo, or a local restaurateur, her sincerity and charisma foster her ability to connect with interviewees and co-hosts as if they are long time friends. However, she feels most successful when she connects with her audience on a deeper level, by giving them information that they can apply to their real life.
To move away from negative news or being labeled as a “talking head”, Chenine decided to reveal her personal life and incorporate it into her hosting career. Her forced independence as a youngster instilled confidence and responsibility into her character. She put herself through college, bought and remodeled a home, pays for cars in cash, planned a dream wedding, and is an avid traveler. Often called “lucky”, she realizes that her accomplishments are hard to recognize in a time when most reality TV isn’t paralleled with reality. Where is the show for women who are paving their own way to their future? Chenine identified an overlooked demographic. She assists women who are in a pivotal stage of their life by becoming the founding editor of DomesticDivaLifestyle.com. Through blogging and creating webisodes, she blends her passion for hosting and producing with improving the quality of life for women. She and her experts cover topics like finance, cooking, home purchase and décor, event planning, fashion, smart shopping, health, beauty, travel, and relationships. She encourages females to become more self-sufficient, skilled and knowledgeable in order to save money, feel confident, and to live in style. Her fan base for her website and Facebook fan page is growing exponentially. Visits to her website quadrupled by mid month compared to the month prior.
Before “Diva Lifestyle”, she became a well-rounded journalist by submerging herself in multimedia. She worked for Safe Worlds News, an online news service. She produced short segments for six headline channels (entertainment, heath & beauty, international news, local news, education, and sports). She excels in writing, field producing, reporting, and editing with Final Cut Pro and Express under deadline. Her first taste of entertainment reporting was with WTV. As the main host and journalist, Chenine helped the web channel reach its millionth view and increased brand recognition during her year and a half with WTV. Upon this achievement, she was applauded for her style, professionalism, print contributions, quick wit, and knowledge of social and multimedia.
Chenine hosted for a variety of shows that highlights local gems. She hosted and produced for “Snapshot Long Beach”, “Spotlight Torrance”, and “Hot Spots Metro”. She currently freelances for POW! Entertainment, working alongside the Godfather of Comics, Stan Lee. She covered his star ceremony on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame,” and the world famous Comic-Con in San Diego and in New York.
Born and raised in Long Beach, California, Chenine is no stranger to music, fashion, dancing, pop culture, and diversity. Her exotic look comes from her Mexican mother and Filipino father. She fed her artistic side at a young age through dance, love for music, and journalism. She received her B.A. in Communications and Business Entrepreneurship from California State University, Long Beach with high honors. Her education in journalism continued at UCLA.
During her free time, she enjoys international travel. She traveled to 5 continents to visit sites with historical and archeological significance. Chenine once said, “I feel that traveling taught me my greatest lessons in life: history, humility, understanding, culture, and psychology.” She welcomes travel as a journalist and host. She also likes physical activities like snowboarding, Pilates, snorkeling, hiking, wakeboarding, jet skiing, dancing paragliding, parasailing, horseback riding, and yoga.
